The Ocean Ice Hockey team wrapped up its highly successful regular season with a 6-4 loss against Toms River East. The team’s record of 11 wins, 7 losses and 3 ties qualified it for the state championship tournament – a remarkable achievement for a first year program.

OTHS ice hockey strung together its longest win streak of the season with 3 consecutive wins from Feb. 13th through Feb. 18th. First up was a 3-1 victory over Red Bank Regional, then another 3-1 score versus Hamilton West the next day, and capped off with a 7-0 scoring barrage against Monroe.

Ocean Ice Hockey led off February with a pair of tie games. The first was a hard fought 1-1 draw against JP Stevens on 2/2, followed by a repeat of the same score vs. Manasquan on 2/4. The hockey Spartans team record now stands at 8W, 6L, and 3T for this, their first season.
